Olde Colony Bakery is the oldest family-operated bakery in the historic Charleston area. Since the late 1940's, it has taken great pride in sharing its rich Southern heritage and unique Low Country specialties with visitors and locals. Among the favorites are the Original Charleston Benne Wafer, Benne Cheese Zingers, Cream Bread and Cinnamon Raisin Bread.

The Rix family, including son-in-law Jim, have owned the business since 1990. The Bakery relocated to a larger facility in neighboring Mount Pleasant in August 2000 to meet their customer's needs. All specialty items continue to be made and packed the old fashioned way…by hand.
